Scholarships

The Scholarship Program is part of CAC's mission of linking University expertise to community innovation in aging services. Since the Center on Age & Community was first established in 2001, one of our primary goals has been to remove the barriers that prevent students from studying Gerontology. Since that time, we have given away over $450,000 in scholarships to students in a wide range of disciplines.

Scholarship Criteria:

1. Demonstrate a 3.0 or higher GPA for two consecutive academic years at the undergraduate level or one year at the graduate level

2. Demonstrate a commitment to the field of gerontology

3. Demonstrate leadership skills through participation in community service, research, extracurricular, and/or other activities

4. Have the intention to complete the Graduate Certificate Program in Applied Gerontology at UW-Milwaukee
