Areas of Focus

UWM's Center on Age & Community is an interdisciplinary center with a focus in applied research and education in long term care.  We view long term care with a wide lens - encompassing community-based and institutional care. 

We believe that innovation in the field of aging will happen through conversations across boundaries of practice and research and across traditional disciplinary boundaries. 

Our innovative researchers and students span a broad spectrum, including nursing, psychology, sociology, social work, educational psychology, education, film, history, theater, human movement sciences, and architecture.
